desktop technology from Intel. We only offer Quad Core CPUs for this system, as
the price/performance delta favors the Quad Core CPUs. This is no 'wimpy' mobile
system. It's like having a desktop workstation on the road with you. These are
real desktop CPUs that you would find in a full tower workstation! The Core i7

System RAM
The Mobile-EDIT system comes with 6GB of RAM, and can be expanded to 12GB of RAM. The architecture supports triple channel DDR3 1333 RAM, and we only use the best RAM modules (Crucial or Kingston) that pass our stringent tests. Please note that the Intel 980 is the only processor that runs at the full 1333 memeory speed.
Windows 7 64bit allows access to all of your installed RAM, unlike XP which was limited to 3GB.

System Drive
Your system comes with a 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gbps hard drive for a
system drive. This drive is a 7200 RPM drives made for demanding video
applications, and they make ideal drives for the operating systems. You can
choose a 500GB or a 750GB drive of this type.
The next option is Seagate's new 'hybrid' Momentus XT dives. These
drives combine 4GB of Flash memory, and adaptive memory technology to make your
system drive nearly as fast as a standard Solid State Drive.
The final choice of drives are completly Solid State Drives. These drives
offer read speeds of more than 250MB per second, making your Windows 7
environment very fast with 4 times the performance of a conventional hard drive.

Video Drive Config
In this section, you can pick your video drive configuration where you'll
store your media. By default, the selection is set to a 1TB RAID-0 made up of
(2) 500GB hard drives. If you are using external drives only, you can choose
'none'. The system has a eSATA port that you can connect fast external
drives to. These drive are 7200 RPM drives made for demanding video
applications. We do not feel at this time, that the Momentus XT drives offer any substantial beneift for the video raid.

Display Adapter
Your system comes equipped with an NVIDIA GTX285M. It does not use
‘shared memory’ as many notebook solutions do. It has full complement of 1GB of
dedicated video memory. This gives you support for Adobe Production Premium
Suite and Adobe Premiere Pro's new Mercury Playback Engine . Imagine 3
streams of HD video in real-time on your notebook!
Choose the 480M for even more processing power with Adobe CS5.
If you plan on running AVID Media Composer 5 on your system, then you
