This workstation is built on the latest Intel x58 Chipset, with support for the new 45nm Intel Core i7 Quad Core CPUs. The 45nm CPUs mean higher performance, at a lower cost. The new Core i7 offers substantial performance upgrades over the previous generation. The system also utilizes the new DDR3 standard. DDR3 more closely matches the speed front side bus of the new CPUs. You'll find 'front mounted' 1394a, (12) USB 2.0 ports, 8 processing cores, Gigabit LAN, and rock solid stability.
